Living PlanIT Operating System (PlanIT OS™) Service Offerings

Living PlanIT provides a number of services to support the successful deployment of the PlanIT OS™ and UOS.

Digital Masterplanning

In conjunction with its partners including Buro Happold and Hitachi, Living PlanIT provides digital masterplanning services to living cities and other smart urban developments. These services integrate with other masterplanning and pre-development activities to establish appropriate designs, methodologies, approaches and standards, in order to ensure that network, controls, and IT technology meet the goals of the development. The principles established flow logically into the use of the UOS™ and PlanIT OS™ and solutions from Living PlanIT partner ecosystem but these are by no means mandatory – alternatives are also presented and enough generic advice supplied to allow developers to go down other paths if desired. Finding partners with the right knowledge and experience to provide these services is hard, and the marriage of Living PlanIT urban technology expertise with the engineering knowledge of Buro Happold provides unique capabilities in the marketplace which readily follow through to execution.

Integration Services

Offered to partners, these services help partners build driver applications, control applications, and PlaceApps as needed in order to enable the integration of partner solutions into the PlanIT OS™, or partner equipment to be sold as a value-add adjunct to PlanIT OS™ and UOS™-powered developments through the pre-integration benefits of the platform. Often what is required is the porting of existing solutions, and while this is facilitated by the use of industry standard modeling solutions such as Simulinc and Dymola, Living PlanIT expertise in the architecting of embedded solutions can pay dividends in providing a coherent platform for exploiting the features of controlled hardware.

UOS™ Planning and Commissioning

In order to get the most out of the PlanIT OS™ and UOS™ expert assistance in sizing and designing the deployment architecture is often helpful. And configuration of the initial setup can be relatively complex especially in environments where a large degree of integration with existing or non-partner systems is required, and where the Living PlanIT DaVinci application is not being used since this radically simplifies commissioning.

Operations

In order to get the most out of any network, compute facility, or smart urban infrastructure an appropriate approach to ongoing operations is required. This extends from the design of operating centers and control software through operating contracts and maintenance approaches. Living PlanIT partners provide advanced solutions across the board from city operations through to network and PlanIT OS™ platform operations and will engage during the planning phases of developments as needed to consult on and design appropriate packages.
